Editor’s beauty picks for the month.

By: Amanda Anderson

As you all know, I am a beauty product addict. I buy products regularly, and as an editor, I feel it’s my responsibility to share my favorites. Each month I shed light on some of the best beauty and affordable beauty products that I feel you should have in your own stash. Here’s my picks for this month. I hope that you will love these products just as much as I do.

1. Perfect Point Plus Eye Pencil By Covergirl

This is my absolute favorite eye pencil hands down. I have been looking for an amazing eye pencil for quite some time. As you probably know, it’s hard to find a black eye pencil these days that goes on smooth. I’ve tried many pencils, but this one goes on smooth and dark, and stays that way for most of the day. I only had to reapply it once, and that was due to a night at a sweaty dance club. But you’ll love this eye pencil if you’re looking for a smooth and long lasting application. You can find this product at your local drugstore with other popular Covergirl products.

2. Pink Nails

Summer will be a faded memory before you know it, so make sure you take advantage of your brighter hues and nail polishes. Brights are always in during the warmer months, but pink is the one color every belle must have in her stash. Rock them like a glamour goddess, and don’t be afraid to go as bright as your little heart desires. There are many great brands out there, with my favorites including Sally Hansen’s line of Xtreme Wear polishes, and OPI.

3. Olay In-Shower Body Lotion

Soft skin is sexy, so you’ll want to take your moisture regime a little further than a couple coats of body lotion. What better way to soften your skin than in the shower with a healthy dose of Olay In-Shower Body Lotion. Simply shower with your soap of choice, rinse, and then apply the Olay In-Shower Body Lotion. Don’t forget that this lotion was meant to be applied while you’re in the shower (hint, it’s called In-Shower lotion). You’ll notice a wonderful difference in your skin immediately.

4. Covergirl Lashblast Fusion

I’m a walking billboard for the line of Lashblast mascaras, and I make no apologies for that. Why? Because these mascaras kick ass. And not just any ass, but every other brand of mascara out there. Lashblast Fusion is the latest edition, and it’s better than the first Lashblast mascara. I have happily traded in my orange tube for the blue tube. After one application, I’m sure you will as well. Get the longer and fuller eyelashes you’ve been dreaming of. Who needs falsies anymore? Get this mascara from your local drug store.
